Post Post subject: WARNING: Huge Football Story!!!
I'm writing this post late at night in a state of shock. Shocked

Could it be that the "Special One" has quit Stamford Bridge?

Initial reports have appeared late on Wednesday evening (September 19th 2007), although these are as yet unconfirmed by Chelsea FC.

I'm no great Chelsea fan but I can't deny having a lot of time for Mourinho, a manager who makes the English Premiership a lot more interesting.

Yup, got to be the most bizarre departure there is. Someone who has never lost a home game and has won seven trophies since joining the club.

Somehow I think he didn't have all the input into the team that he would of liked and has now walked.

You never know Riv he may replace Laws at Wednesday lol

Well I say we should give tribute to the man who in terms of sheer comedy was a fine replacement to 'Clownio' Ranieri (who of course may have had the last laugh seeing now he is the boss of Juventus).

I invite everyone to give their own favourite quotes of the Portuguese coach, in reflection of a man who was one of the funniest, but also most controversial, English managers of the current day.

Here here Jose!!!

This is the quote I was looking for which i thought was amusing

"It is omelettes and eggs. No eggs - no omelettes! It depends on the quality of the eggs. In the supermarket you have class one, two or class three eggs and some are more expensive than others and some give you better omelettes. So when the class one eggs are in Waitrose and you cannot go there, you have a problem" - Shorn of the likes of injury victims Frank Lampard, Michael Ballack, Ricardo Carvalho and Didier Drogba, Mourinho cooked up a surreal analogy ahead of Tuesday's fateful draw with Rosenborg.

I'm still genuinely gutted at this news.

MOTD just won't be the same now without Mourinho's memorable post-match interviews complete with broken english and low to high pitch variations. The man was pure entertainment! Very Happy
As with Ranieri, why do Chelsea insist on getting rid of the best coach characters in the game? It spoils it for the fans!

Tough to pick a favourite moment Joe, I do agree with Dale that this week's "homme-lates" interview was a classic!
But the one that always sticks in my mind is when Mourinho was defending himself against allegations from the press that he had a problem with Alex Ferguson.

"This is nothing against Sir Alex. I want to tell you one thing; after the game in my office - we laugh, we spoke, we speak, we drunk and when we go to Man United, I will take a very good bottle of wine.
Because the wine we drunk was very bad and he was complaining."

Watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhMgFnAzaJw - classic! Cool

Does anybody else find it funny and ironic that he's now being linked to the manager's job at Barcelona?
Doesn't that 'cheat' Messi still play there?! Laughing

No offence to Strachs, but I hope the rumour linking him to Celtic is true. That'd be great!
Ok... so I just started that rumour, but you never know! Wink

I have to say I do love the attack his attack on Wenger - just because it was so outrageous. Instead of the conventional mind games which Wengera nd Ferguson engage in, Mourinho used his limited, broken English and came up with this explosive little gem:

"Wenger has a real problem with us and I think he is what you call in England a voyeur. He is someone who likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have this big telescope to look into the homes of other people and see what is happening. Wenger must be one of them - and it is a sickness."

But I have to say I do love this one too...

"If you ask me if I jump with happiness when I know Mr Poll is our referee? No."

Bring him to Tottenham I say Laughing he says he wants to work in London again at some stage and it is highly unlikely he will want go to Fulham,Charlton,Crystal Palace,Millwall,Leyton,FC Wimbledon. No disrespect but thoes arent exactly 'high profile' clubs so seeing as Arsenal will keep hold of Wenger that leaves only one club he can possible go to Very Happy

So what does everyone think of Mourinho's successor at Chelsea, ex-Israeli national coach Avram Grant? Is he an intelligent, experienced tactician or just some spineless lackey of the Chelski regime?

All I can say is one word..............SHITE!!

Thats my view on him, no disrespect on him but I don't think he is capable of dealing with such high profile names such as the likes of Shova Sheva, Bollocks, Mr Terrence, Shaun Right Left Phillips, Florence Ma need a loo da, Frankie Lamps, Peter Cech my ass for heads, Claudio Pizza ro and Michael Ass ien just to name a few.

A well known coach is in need for the job but by saying that I have no problems if the side loses their world status and slips down the league quickly being taken over by the mighty Spurs Very Happy
