Post Post subject: Well done Derby!
Just wanted to congratulate Derby County on reaching the Premiership after a 5 year hiatus. This is after all a football forum.
But there are 3 main reasons for me mentioning this.

1. Derby are TTFE legend Stu's favourite team, and he has suffered the many lows of the past couple of seasons (finished 20th in the Championship last season!?!).
2. I just can't stand West Bromwich Albion for some reason. It's not Frank Skinner, I quite like Frank Skinner.
I think it's because they were so damn awful when they were in the Premiership. The football they played was just terrible, although a lot of that was down to Bryan Robson. Tony Mowbray is cool as.
And my mate is a massive Brum fan, the stories he's told me about trips to West Brom, sheeesh! You don't wanna know.

And 3. Because who scored the winning goal in the play-off final? Only Celtic old bhoy Stephen Pearson! Get in there Ginge!!!

That's all. Wink

i'd just like to add that i think derby deserved to go up more than the other 3 teams in the play-offs. to be honest, i'm surprised they didn't secure an automatic promotion.

also, special mention to blackpool who beat yeovil 2-0 and are now in the championship...their win on sunday was a club record 10th consecutive win. they started that winning streak neck-and-neck with swansea. both teams teetering on the edge of the playoffs...blackpool ended up comfortable within the play-off spots. let's hope they can keep this up into the championship (not at the expense of the bluebirds though Wink)

the reason why i bring this up is that my cousin is an avid blackpool fan, and so therefore i keep an eye on them.

Well done indeed to the Rams, they deserved to go up and it was a shame that they were finally eclipsed by a brilliant Sunderland team and a superb Birmingham side towards the end of the season. I had a feeling the Baggies would get it, but I am glad to see Premiership football returning to Pride Park.

On a Welsh perspective, its a shame that Jason Koumas won't be playing in the Premiership, but at least Lewis Nyatnaga will be able to make the best Welsh back-four a more top tier affair. With Gabbs, Collins, Delaney and Nyatanga up there in the potential relegation dogfight, things are looking good for Welsh football. Wink
