Have you given your view yet?

state_of_play

We’ve nearly survived the Apocalypse so that can mean only one thing – TTFE will be here for another year! That also means you can give your view on all things TTFE if you haven’t already! Yay!

State of Play was launched earlier this month and already over a dozen of you have completed the short questionnaire. But we’re not stopping there – I want to get as many views as possible from the regular players down to the part timers who come to our aid when we’re short. The answers you give will not just be put on a dusty shelf but will give us a snapshot of where TTFE is and where it is going.

A few of you have mentioned that you have not received the post containing the link to the survey, so I will be resending it out shortly. One way or another you’ll get the chance, whether it is via Facebook, email, through the forum or a good old trusty pen (remember those?).

Final entries should be sent in by December 31st and on completing the survey you’ll be given instructions on how to enter the free prize draw to win a whole TENNER, yes, £10 British pounds.

Thanks again to all!

Cubby

This looks like a nice little file syncronisation tool to rival Dropbox, Google / GDrive and SkyDrive…

I’m very interested.

TTFE’s Roaming reporters

So, some of us (currently just 3) at TTFE are starting to use the site a little more and have started updating etc.

In a bid to continue this, I have now added to WordPress app and become the first roaming reporter… Thy said, we still need more contributors… It doesn’t have to be TTFE related posts, we can add anything here… Do we all have a shared interest in stationary perhaps?

Let us know.

Cheers

Ho Ho Ho! TTFE Xmas Game is Go Go Go!

As 2012 draws to a close and the festive season nears its exciting climax,  TTFE will be taking a well-earned holiday just like the rest of us. But until we get stuck into our turkeys and new toys, it would be incredibly rude not to honour the tradition of the TTFE Xmas Game.

We’ve always been the type of lads who loves a bit of roleplay (!) and what better costume to grab than the garb of Good Ole Saint Nick, the bringer of both aforementioned turkey and toys. For the final game of the year, we encourage everyone to dress up in attire suited to the festive season – Santa, Elves, Mrs. Claus… we’ve had it all! It’s real good fun and the extra layer works wonders in this chilly weather too!

Check out some of the pictures of our Xmas game a few years back on our Facebook group here!

So for the year’s last game next Thursday 20th Dec, be sure to be bring your red suits and hats! TTFE will then break up for a week and will return on 3rd January.

Lastly here’s my favourite pic…. Especially the ‘Clamping in Progress’ sign in the background! Oooh kinky!

Have your say – State of Play is here!

It’s that time of year again when your views matter most in TTFE’s most ambitious survey of players’ views. In 2010 12 people completed a short survey which consisted of questions about all aspects of TTFE, including preferred number of players in each game, interest in different type of social events and well-contested issue of the pitch.

This year surveys will be sent to all current players at TTFE as displayed in the Total Attendance thread. Surveys are being sent via Facebook and the TTFE Forum and for those who tend not to use those we will be circulating via email and paper copies too. It’s important that everyone has a chance to make their voices heard on these topics as we move into 2013.

All those who complete the survey – accessed via a link in whichever format you receive – you will have instructions on how to enter a FREE prize draw to win a £10 gift voucher (store TBC). Please ensure you act on this because it informs me that you’ve completed the survey; each completed survey is anonymous unless on certain questions where you’ve stated your name where prompted to (but this optional as you will find out).

So check your inboxes and be a part of the State of Play – the chance for you to have your say on the big issues, but remember TTFE is always open to any views all year round!

Kitty is pretty up to date!

It’s been a while but finally the kitty thread is up to date! Apologies to all for this delay – it’s been a mixture of busyness, bewilderment and bone-idleness which meant I had fallen a record five weeks behind, particularly as I get to grips with the new system that has been put in place.

Anyway with excuses put aside, we’ve had some important moves over the last few weeks so here are my weekly highlights listed for your pleasure!

Game 353 – “Big move for Chris as he takes 4th, plus Billy moves to 23rd.”

Game 354 – “Massive move this week as Tom becomes the new leading attendee at TTFE! Well done to him!”

Game 355 – “Nothing of note this week, but a big shout out to Greg who collected this week! Thanks Mr Davies!”

Game 356 – “Joe moves into second place!”

Game 357 – “Rolan’s on the move plus I’ve added Dan’s move from last week.”

Check out the kitty thread on the forum here for more information!

Longest Streaks in TTFE History

So, I’ve never been a fan of stats about goal scorers or anything that might affect how the game goes but I am a fan of stats generally and those that encourage attendance, or improvements to the game so… here is one I like…

20 Game Streaks:

  • Greg Davies
  • Karl Manley

10 have played 21 or more games in a row.

21 Game Streaks:

  • Mike Pinto

9 have played 23 or more games in a row.

23 Game Streaks:

  • Paul Preece

8 have played 24 or more games in a row.

24 Game Streaks:

  • Owain Roberts

TPC 2013 – Initial Entries

So the TPC 2013 is going to happen and so far there are 4 entries,  including the defending champion!

So far, only half (or a quarter) of the entry spaces have been taken up, and as previously discussed here, on the previous TPC 2013 post – this time, there will be some rule changes.

Don’t forget to sign up or maybe there could even be a doubles type tournament?…

Either sign-up and comment here, or reply to the TPC forum thread

…or don’t… whatever 🙂

Get Social TTFE-er!

So the last TTFE social event was the TTFE TPC:IKMS 2012 SLODBN (what a catchy title!) and I think was a great laugh… shots were consumed, photos taken, there were lesbians present and taking their clothes off and the champ… Oh… Ok, it wasn’t perfect, but it was a better effort than we usually make with a pretty good turn out.

I remember the night ending at something like 5am, with Greg having prank called a girl and then Luco trying to eat some random’s left over chip unknowingly after the other man was kicked out of Burger King! …Aids Burger, wow-wow-wow-wooooooow!

So, I’m sure someone else will write a more full recap of the night, but all I need to say is thanks to Pugh for organising it!

So, what’s next for TTFE starting to be a bit more social? Think of some stuff you’d like to do and post it on the forum… ESPECIALLY if you’re also willing to organise it but even if you can’t do that part.
